The Office of the Regional Schools Commissioner (RSC) approved plans for Normanby Primary School to be joined in the Ironstone Academy Trust (IAT) by Nunthorpe Primary School, Ormesby Primary School and Zetland Primary School in early May 2016, subsequently we were joined by Riverdale Primary School. An award of a Capacity Building Grant was made by DfE to IAT of £75,000, following an application made by Normanby Primary School. The Trust is an improved Academy Sponsor. The Trust operates with a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who supports the Trustees in holding individual schools to account.
