The Governing Body wish to appoint a teacher for our forward-looking community primary school. We are looking for a talented and dynamic teacher who is committed to making a real difference to the lives of the children in our school. The post is to work within the Year 3 and Year 4 team in the first instance.

TEACHING ASSISTANT POST – Ormesby Primary School

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and suitably qualified person, to work in school. The successful applicant will become part of a forward thinking, supportive school and will assist teachers in delivery of the curriculum, planning and assessment. On occasions the successful candidate will also be expected to supervise a whole class during the short-term absence of the teacher.

Ormesby Primary is a happy and caring school with 330 children currently on roll. We have a strong team of dedicated staff who are committed to making a difference to the children in our school.

Riverdale is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Level 3 teaching assistant to work in school to support the learning of our pupils within our KS1 Team.

The successful candidate will be a well-organised person with good communication skills who can liaise with teachers, students and outside agencies to provide comprehensive support for children within school with a variety of needs.

The successful candidates will support individuals and groups of children with their learning both in and outside of the classroom and support teachers with the learning environment.  

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children/young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and an enhanced DBS disclosure will be sought, along with other relevant employment checks.

The successful applicant will join a team of lunchtime supervisors.  Responsibilities to include supervising children in the dining hall, helping with packed lunches and playground duty.  The post holder will be flexible, have good communication skills and relate well to children.  A basic knowledge of health and safety is essential.
