Overfields Primary School

Overfields Primary School  joined the Ironstone Academy Trust in 2018 and we very much value working alongside 5 local primaries who share our ethos and commitment to providing the best life chances for our pupils.  We are one of the smaller schools within the trust but have the highest percentage of pupil premium which brings its challenges. I have  been in post now for 15 years and lead a strong team of staff who pride ourselves on our community feel and the high aspirations we have for our pupils.

A unique feature of Overfields Primary is that we have a Speech and language unit which provides quality teaching and SEND support for pupils from across Redcar & Cleveland and Middlesbrough local authorities.

Our school has gained the Green Flag award ( twice), has achieved the Leading Parent Partnership Award, Science Mark silver and Gold School Games . We have a very active school council and provide a broad range of after school activities to enhance  the teaching and learning offer.  Pupil voice tells us that our children enjoy coming to school and that they feel safe and valued.  We aim to provide an ambitious and exciting curriculum, giving our pupils a wealth of experiences and the skills to succeed beyond our doors.
