Zetland Primary School

I am delighted to introduce myself as the Headteacher of Zetland Primary School which is an average sized primary school, in the North East of England.

I have a long experience of working in primary schools and fulfilling the role of Headteacher.  I am also a Mum, with a youngest aged three and an eldest who is fifteen!  I therefore think I have a really good understanding of how rewarding and challenging it can be to juggle all the different aspects of family life.

We are a vibrant school which places a strong emphasis on the performing arts, outdoor learning and knowledge of the wider world,  sports, cross curricular themed learning and community events. We regularly perform to a high standard in sporting events organised by the Redcar and Cleveland Sports Partnership. We have achieved Arts Mark Gold Status and Healthy Schools Active Mark. We are also committed to teacher training and regularly host students from the Redcar and Cleveland School Centred Initial Teacher Training and Durham University.

I feel very privileged to have this opportunity by the Governing Body and Ironstone Academy Trust and I am committed to ensuring every child enjoys receives the education that they deserve. I am very excited to be a part of the journey of Zetland Primary School’s ethos and making a positive contribution to its positive and happy future.

Remembering Yesterday, Learning from Today, Striving for Tomorrow
